Mandelbrot Tribute Contest

This fractal is made with #Apophysis for the Mandelbrot Tribute contest.
Here i've use a Xaos mandelbrot Set on a julia pattern.

This is a raw flame, no post edit or so ... even the blur was made with apo :)


DYK ? : A zoom into the Mandelbrot set illustrating a Julia "island" and the corresponding Julia set of the form fc(z)=zē+c , in which c is the centre of the Mandelbrot set zoom in.

I love this image. However I wish I understood how it was made. I want to participate in the Mandelbrot content but don't have and cannot afford UF at this time. How to do Mandelbrot sets in Apo? I know there is a Mandelbrot

You can use the plugin mandelbrot set which is available here the resources part or you can simply create a new flame and Xform1 -> julian = 1 variable n=2 and -1 you rotate it by 180° and reduce it by 200 and you have a mandelbrot shape on apo :)

Thank you very much for the starting point. I remember hearing to use UF 2 in August 1999. That was a lot worse.
