Tiltshift - Forbidden Cityby ^SaTaNiA

Hey there !

Here's my first try to photography and to the TiltShift method !
First of all it's a panorama of 4 photos that's why you may seen some ghost shapes or strange things :)
I think this POV was great to try a tiltshift :)

it's also our first photo on deviantART from our trip to China :la:
More are on the way :la:

So please, don't hesitate to critique or give me some advices as i'm a total newbie in this photography world (and even on the tiltshift method :p)

You say you're new to this whole "tilt and shift" effect? I say, nonsense! If you really are new, then this must be the best example of beginner's luck I've seen so far. However, if you are a newbie and wish to improve in a few general areas, here's my :iconfireplz: hot tip. If you look closely to the left of the image, you'll note that one of the bollards or whatever is in focus as well as out. This may throw off the balance of the effect just slightly, as it also appears that way on the right. You've already gotten the subject right, but some necessary details are missing. But still, you've done pretty well. Wanna now why? Because I didn't see the errors before you asked us to critique. I only saw perfection. Keep it up! ;)

Nice, but.... :-)
I like tiltshift and I tried it many time (not ever with good result:-( ), so my general consideration.
Tiltshift can have good effect when the shot is more near possible to natural eyes look. Too short focal (some time too long too) or wide panoramas reduce the effect, IMHO obviously :D.
And about this one especially the near fiend is not enough out-of-focus.
But is a good shot to work on it.
