Exciting news guys!

A fractal artist meeting is being planned for 25-27th June, 2014 to be held in San Sebastian (Spain) and you are all invited!
The venues for this 3 day event have already been booked and invitations are going out to the fractal artist worldwide. This is a chance to meet and vacation with other fractal artists while also sharing in a day of lectures to learn more about fractal artistry, the history of fractal art and the tools we use.
A few US artists got together informally a few years ago and had a terrific time meeting each other and sharing ideas. We decided that the next one needed to be in Europe so that more people could attend.

For more information, please visit Math Artistry and don't miss your chance to register.

If you are passionate about fractal art and would like to meet with others who share your passion, then you are invited to attend the first International Fractal Art Symposium
to be held in San Sebastian, Spain on June 25– 27, 2014.

I have decided not to go.. I cant even think about spending that kind of money for just 3 days. If I am going to spend that I would want to spend at least 8-10 days and see the sights and perhaps go to other countries in Europe, and if i did that I wouldn't want to do it alone, so there are 2 fares now...lol I need to wait until my husband can go with me, maybe I will attend the 2nd or 3rd fractal symposium. lol

Some one suggested it be held in Amsterdam in the future - I think this would be a wonderful venue, given that there are  so many enthusiastic and talented fractalists in Holland

Would love to attend, but those days are already booked for local events. Any chance those who can't make it will be able to participate via livestream  or some such?

I would love to go considering that I make all of my money from fractals and they are in movies, tv shows book covers etc. But is this going to be for fractal artists or fractal program developers??... I know nothing about how the program works or the math.

It is for both, really. In fact, you sound like a really good person to do a presentation on "Presentation/Sales/Marketing Ideas" which is on the suggested topics list. I would love to see you there. :D

I want to second this reply! The organizing team already represents those who understand the math and programming (not me) and those who just love to play from the artistic perspective. There will be something for everyone, regardless of experience or level of understanding.

If you have ideas for something you'd like to see presented -- or a topic you can contribute to, please let us know!

I haven't looked extensively but most tickets seem to fall between 1000-1500 per person for me. However, I have to start from a smallish airport in the middle of nowhere, which might be raising the price a bit.
